APPSC Recruitment 2016 for 23 posts of Assistant Engineers and Urban Officers
APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission) is a constitutional body formed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh 1956 on November 1. It was the date when the state of Andhra Pradesh was formed. Andhra and the Hyderabad PSC (Public Service Commission) together formed the APPSC. APPSC operates for the direct selection of the state government posts that comprises forest officers, police officers, lecturers, doctors, engineers and clerks. Last date for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Departmental Test is 15th February 2016.
Educational Essentials: Seekers should have passed B.E. or B.TECH with Civil Engineering from a recognized University. The final semester appearing students are also liable to the examinations.
Age Limit: Students should be with the minimum age of 18 years and the maximum of 30 years by the date February 15, 2016.
Posts: A total of 23 posts are available for reserved categories and unreserved candidates. 19 posts are for the Assistant Engineer and 4 for the Urban Program Officer.
Selection Process: Written examination will be conducted that comprises of two papers and three subjects of the total of 450 marks of which 50 marks are of Interview. Interview will be conducted after the written exam results, if the candidate achieves 33% marks in each of the papers and 45% marks of the of two papers then he/she will be considered for the interview.
Salary Offered: The Salary extends from Rupees 15,600/- to Rupees 39,100/- with Rupees 5,400/- Grade Pay.
Important Dates: 15th February 2016 is the last date for the receiving of the application form by the Board.
Application Fees: The fees for the application form is Rupees 160/- and case of APST it is Rupees 100/- .
