TET Exam 2016 (Assam) 1618 vacancies for Hindi and Sanskrit Teachers
TET Exam: Teachers Eligibility Test is the organization for concluding examination for teaching staff of the State and Central Government. The Secondary Education Department of the Government of Assam is conducting the Special Teachers Eligibility Test for the Hindi and Sanskrit teachers. By the amendment of the Government of Assam the minimum qualification has been fixed. The Government of Assam has announced 1618 vacancies for Hindi and Sanskrit teachers. The Department is initiating the betterment of Hindi Language.

Educational Essentials: The candidate must be graduate, must possess Ratan in Hindi with 50% marks. OR B.A (Hindi) with 50% marks from a recognized Board/University. And should be B.T or B.Ed. from a recognized institution. For Sanskrit Teacher the candidate should have done Shastri with 50% marks with graduation. OR B.A (Sanskrit) with 50% marks and must possess B.T/B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
No. of Posts: The number of vacancies is 1618 for two Posts. 1031 for Hindi Teachers and 587 for Sanskrit Teachers.
Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate should be 38 years.
Selection Procedure: The selection will be based on Written Examination. The question paper will include 100 (MCQs) questions of 100 marks. The minimum Marks to qualify the TET Exam are 60%. For SC/ST/PH/OBC/PWD a relaxation of 5% is given.
