Air India is a star alliance member, the star alliance network established in 1997 as first global airline to offer world wide reach. Now air India invites application from passionate, young and professional candidates (male/female both) to join Air India as Trainee cabin crew in Northern, Southern, Western and eastern regions on a fixed term engagement, for a initial period of 5 years.

Age-limit-
- Between 18 to 27 years
- 5 yeas relaxation in age limit for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC Candidates
Educational qualification-
- 12th passed/ minimum 10+2 from a recognized board/ university
Preference- if candidate has 3 years diploma/degree in Hotel Management course and catering technology from a government recognized institute.
- Fluency in English and Hindi
Preference– if candidate having fluency in any foreign language of destination where Air India operates.
- Marital status- Unmarried
- Height/ weight/ physical fitness matters for candidates.
Note– if any candidate, undergone lasik surgery for correction eyesight, will be considered/ provided he/ she have undergone surgery prior to six months of the date of eligibility criteria.
Selection process-
- Group dynamics and personality assessment test (GD and PAT) at the venues decided by Air India Limited.
- Test conducted in phases and qualify candidates fall in the applicable zone of consideration, and appear for written test.
Important-instructions-
- Candidate must have a valid e-mail ID, to receive the registration number and password
- Attached a scanned passport size photograph (between 10 kb to 35 kb) only
- Candidate must have a Medical Certificate from a MBBS Doctor stating there in Height in Centimeters (cm), Weight in Kilograms (Kg) and Body Mass Index (BMI) and color vision (color blindness)
- The candidates, who are using contact lenses, will be required to bring a certificate from an Ophthalmologist indicating there in power of lenses as the same will be required while filling the application form
- OBC category candidate’s caste certificate in the prescribed Performa issued by the appropriate authority for Central Government employment and “non-creamy layer clause”. Certificate should not older than 6 months.
- NOC- No Objection Certificate, from employer, if candidate employed in Government/ Semi-government/ Public sector Undertaking, sector/ organization.
- No physical application will be entertained under any circumstances.

General-instructions-
- Female candidates required to appear in “SAREE”. For GD and PAT tests, and male candidates appear in formal attire.
- Candidates must bring the photocopies of documents/ certificates in support of D.O.B proof/ qualification/ cast certificate/ Demand draft and also domicile proof (nivas praman patra) etc along with Original documents at GD and PAT tests time.
- Two photographs (POST CARD SIZE/ FULL LENGTH) (front view and another side view), in “SAREE” for female candidates, for male candidates, dress code is formal attire.
- May be for the GD and PAT process, candidates stay for a day or two at their own expenses, if required. But, no compensation/ payment shall be made in this regard.
- During/ after the course completion or extended term of fixed term engagement, the candidate will not claim for permanent absorption in the Company.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature of the applicant.
Payment/ salary-
- During the period of training, the candidates will be given a stipend of Rs/- 15,000 per month.
- After completion of training, candidates may initially draw Rs/- 35, 075 per month, included fixed pay of Rs/- 16,675 and Rs/-18,400 as flying allowances for 70 hours flying in a month.
- In case of more/ less than 70 hours in a month, flying allowances may be increased/ decreased.
- Included Rs/- 300 for per standby Duty at the Airport
- Candidates will also be eligible for payment of Layover Allowance @ USD 45 per day for International Flights (night stays involved), as per rules.
